Momo Aoki

**Height:** 154 cm (5'1") Aboard the Harekaze, she serves as a damage control specialist alongside Himoe Wazumi, a close friend since junior high. She tends to end her sentences with the suffix "-ssu." As the daughter of a clothing store owner, she excels in areas related to apparel and sewing, such as home economics. She has aspired to be a manga artist since childhood and loves both reading and drawing manga; she writes most of the Harekaze's shipboard newsletter, and her serialized comic strip is reportedly very popular. Before enrolling, she was torn between taking over the family clothing business and pursuing her passion for manga. However, after her mother suggested she "try doing both," she set her sights on becoming a Blue Mermaid—a career that would allow her to draw manga and work in fashion while ensuring a stable income. She creates four-panel comics featuring the Harekaze crew and is planning to sell them at a doujinshi convention. She puts her artistic skills to good use in various ways, such as painting cute seal faces on minesweeping gear and creating posters and booklets to encourage water conservation.
